OverviewEdit

Chuck and Blair grew up on the Upper East Side, both members of elite families. They, and their respective best friends Nate Archibald and Serena van der Woodsen, have known each other since birth and attended school together. At the beginning of Season One, it is shown that Blair shows a mild disdain for Chuck and he has an indifference about her. However, the pair are friends and often partner up to scheme against others to keep their positions at the top.

The first hint of a mutually romantic bond was in Victor, Victrola, where the two meet up and Blair ends up losing her virginity to Chuck in the back of his limo. This is considered a regretted one night stand on Blair's part, as she had broken up with her boyfriend, Nate, just before she left for the club. However, their sexual relationship resumed after a short period of time, though it was kept secret. The pair intended to go away together during the summer, but Chuck breaks her heart at the end of the season.

Season OneEdit

In Pilot, Chuck and Blair appear to have an aquaintence-like friendship. We first see them interact at Blair's mother's party, where Blair tells Chuck "If he[Nate] gets back", hinting to him that she intended for her and Nate to have sex. Throughout the episode, Chuck talks openly to Nate about how he should 'seal the deal' with Blair. It is obvious that at this point in time, neither Blair nor Chuck have any romantic feelings toward each other. At the end of the episode, the two share a comrade-like moment which is one of the first times that they actually speak to each other in the series.

In The Wild Brunch, Blair and Chuck sit together, along with Nate, Isabel Coates and Kati Farkas, at Bart's brunch. They appear to be having a friendly, good time before Serena and Dan arrive. The two showing up at the brunch make both Chuck and Blair mad, due to Serena's sleeping with Nate and Dan having punched Chuck at the Kiss on the Lips Party. Blair talks about her anger to Chuck, who brings up her worry for her boyfriend. He then offers to help, by giving her 'the key to his suite, Nate's heart and her future happiness'. She speaks her disgust in response to his innuendo, "I'm honoured to be playing even a small role in your deflowering." They both take part in informing Dan about Serena's indiscretions with Nate.

In Poison Ivy, the Junior class is trying to get into the Ivy League schools, and this includes Chuck and Blair. Chuck calls Blair after a fight between Blair and Serena. He starts the conversation with sexual comments, and she states her distaste for them. However, the call swiftly turns into one with a purpose which is Blair wanting dirt on Serena and Chuck being happy to comply. This is the first 'scheme' of sorts that the two team up for in the show. Chuck soon does as promised, and calls Blair immediately to tell her that he found something out. She covers up who the caller is from Nate, by greeting with "Hi Mom". In her bedroom, Chuck shows her the pictures of Serena at the Ostroff Center, and she gives a positive respose. He mentions about her bed, and she abrupty tells him to leave. Later, Blair approaches Chuck, scolding him for allowing Serena to take over in being the Yale representive's usher. He the walks in as she and Eric a speaking about his time at the Center.

Victor, Victrola is the real turning point in the relationship between Chuck and Blair. The episode starts with a Burlesque scene, which turns into a scene with Chuck watching a woman (who is later revealed to be Blair) dance on the stage. The scene then changes again to two days earlier. Chuck is excitedly telling Blair about the Burlesque club that he has found, and that he wants to put a proposal to his father for him to invest in it. It is the first time that shows Chuck and Blair as actual friends. She says that she is proud of his idea, and he replies with, "And you are my toughest critic." He then invites her to a 'victory party' for the proposal that he has yet to make. She accepts and leaves him with encouraging words.

After Blair and Nate break up, and she tells him to deal with his father, she goes to Victrola for Chuck's victory party. When she get's out of the limo, she tells him that she think that she and Nate broke up, before walking inside and stating her want to escape. While sitting in the club and drinking, Chuck shows his care by trying to ask about the break up and how she felt. She responds by saying that she felt relief. While watching the women dance ont he stage, Blair tells Chuck that she has moves. After Chuck half dares her to prove it, she goes onto the stage and dances, stripping to her slip. Chuck watches, entraced and dumbfounded, stating to somebody who asked that he didn't know who Blair was. Later, the two are in Chuck's limo and Blair thanks him for taking her home. He says that she was amazing up on the stage, and she moves closer to kiss him. He asks if she is sure, before they resume kissing. Blair gives her virginity to Chuck in the back of his limo.

In Seventeen Candles, it is Blair's seventeenth birthday. The episode starts with Blair confessing her self proclaimed sins to a Catholic Priest. She claims that Chuck is a 'self absorbed ass' and that she intends to avoid him. As she leaves the church and starts to walk away, Chuck pulls up next to her in his limo and she tells him to go away. She says that she was practically given orders by god to stay away from him, and he asks her to do that over breakfast. Blair declines, and tells him that she is going to the jewellers to put pieces on hold for her birthday. Chuck mocks her about Nate, and she makes her plans clear to fix her relationship with him. She reminds Chuck that Nate would probably stop being his best friend if he found out about the two of them. She uninvites him from her party, but he says that it's never stopped him before.

While Blair waits at her party for Nate, Chuck talks to her. She mocks him, then asks if he 'likes' her. He asks her to define like, and admits to feeling a fluttering in his stomach. She says that the butterflies have to be murdered. He responds with "Fine. It wasn't that great anyway." to which she sarcastically thanks him. Not long afterward, Chuck finds Blair still on the roof and she admits her worries for why Nate isn't there. Chuck then talks to Blair about Nate's father's trial and how it coinsides with Nate wanting to get back with Blair. They make the first of many wagers to come, the bets are that either Nate calls at midnight as it turns into her birthday, or she spends the night with Chuck. Later, after the Gossip Girl blast showing a picture of Nate and Jenny hugging and Blair admitting that they broke up, she rushes to a room very upset. Chuck goes to her and gives her the necklace that he bought from the jewellers, the one that she thought that Nate had picked up. Serena walks in on the two passionately kissing, before leaving unnoticed.

In Hi, Society, it is shown that Chuck and Blair continue a secret, physical affair. They are interrupted by Nate arriving at Blair's penthouse asking for her to go to the debutante ball with him. Chuck listens from another room, and it is obvious that he is jealous. He then spents time with Nate, telling him that Blair was dating Carter Baizen which was a lie. His intent was for Nate to get jealous and cause a scene, ending with Blair being mad at him. However, after Nate punches Carter at the ball Blair finds out that Chuck had been the reason for the fight, and she tells him that their relationship was over. Later, Chuck watches as Blair goes into a room with Nate, where the two have sex. Chuck is obviously upset by this and leaves the country.

In A Thin Line Between Nate and Chuck it is revealed that blair may be possibley pregnant with nate or chucks baby. When Blair refuses to take the test, Serena tells Chuck to try get him to convince Blair to take the test as he has a certain typre of influence of her. Blair discovers she is not pregnant, chuck is hurt she is still with nate and blogs to gossip girl about there affair. everyone takes pleasure in Blair being dethroned and when nate finds out about chuck and blairs affair chuck tells him " Yes i took what Blair kept throwing at you and you kept throwing back" and that "she needed someone and i was there" . Chuck tells blair he wants nothing to do with her and there relationship remains estranged until towards the end of the season when chuck, Blair and Nate team up to help serena.

In the last episode Chuck declares his feelings for blair during his best mans speech at Lily and Barts wedding, and the two are seen dancing and kissing and had rekindeled there relationship. They decide to go to tuscany together but chuck backs out at the last minute upon his fathers advice.

Season two Edit

In season two chuck is intially jealous of blairs new boyfriend James who is then to be revealed as Lord Marcus and questions his decision to leave blair at the airport. During the white party blair asks chuck to say those three words eight letters but chuck could not tell her that he loved her. During a blackout at aparty blair and chuck begin to kiss passionately and apparently she thought it was marcus but as he walked in on them she says that she knew it was chuck all along.

Season 2 ends with that Chuck tells Blair that he loves her and they finally get together.

  • Things that piss me off: Eleanor: “I can’t believe how much more grown up you are at your age than I was. I suppose it’s the divorce and all the other mistakes you already made.”

So I guess the writers intended this to be, i don’t know funny or something and I know the adults in this show are in a serious competition of who’s the worst parent of the year, but when you think about it this was quite a cruel thing to say, even for a parent of this show, given everything Blair has been through this year.

Serena: “You had your prince and you had Chuck, you didn’t need to take Dan too.” Blair: “I didn’t TAKE Dan. That’s not how relationships work!”

Word. Serena does realize that she and Dan were broken up for over a year when Blair got together with him right? Hard to take something from you when you don’t even have it.

Blair (to Jack): “Thanks for the call.”

Seriously why? Why the hell should Jack call Blair? Why on earth would she pick up the phone? Why would she be in the same room as him, talk to him, let alone thank him?

Gossip Girl blast: ‘I’ll never love Chuck again after what he did tonight. He’s a monster, he deserves to be alone forever.’ Blair: “I was waiting for that one. You happy now?”

Truer words were never spoken, by herself no less, but that’s the one she gets most upset about?!

Rufus calls Lily, she ignores it and gets drunk. Later Lily: “You haven’t spoken to me in weeks.”

-.- now who’s fault is that?

Chuck: “All I did was work, to protect your legacy.” Bart: “And pine after Blair Waldorf?” Chuck: “Blair has nothing to do with the way I have handled this business.” Bart: “You didn’t try to trade her for a hotel deed…”

LOL Ehm duh! Chuck did trade her for the hotel and it was the only thing that saved your stupid legacy bitch! Please writers, although I appreciate the comedy, maybe next time your zombie blames all of the worlds problems on his son’s ex-girlfriend you should come up with a justification that doesn’t prove the exact opposite of his point. Thank you!

Blair: “I love you. I’m in love with you.” Blair (5x17): “And I love you. But that doesn’t mean I’m in love with you.”

-.- right so what was the purpose for all the other episodes this season again? Oh there was none!… greeeat now I get it.

Blair: “He has made me happier than I’ve ever been.” Blair (4x20): “Do you know the last time I felt joy? Chuck had brought me into his darkness for so long, I’ve forgotten what that felt like!”

    Kill.me.now.

Chuck: I always put you first and you bet against me every time. Chuck (3x17): I did what I had to, to win. I can’t let my feelings cost me all that I’ve built.

The betting against him is also total bullshit. Season 1-4 she did nothing but forgive him over and over and over again, because she believed that he was a good person, because she believed he could change, because she believed that he could achieve great things if he wanted to. All she ever did was bet FOR him. Blair (2x15…I think): “I believed in you, your father believed in you… YOU were the only one who didn’t.”

Eleanor: “You don’t have any loose ends to tie up back home?” Blair: “Nothing’s holding me back anymore.” Blair (20min. earlier): “Dan is my best friend when we’re together it’s great. I feel strong and safe.”

So there’s nothing, nothing at all? That you should fix? Nobody you need to talk to? Your “best friend” maybe? Nope!! -.-

  • the worst tv show in the history!!!!!!!!!!!

an episode that was a total blood bath.sending all the wrong messages to girls!!

taking ny fave character blair and ruined her like never before.she is damaged for god.she will never be the person she always wanted.she is weak and can only live by feeling pain, she is treted like dirt by choice, she left college after fighting to get in and takes her mother's company the thing she never wanted to do killing all her dreams, she is emotionaly unstable locking herself in the most abusive relatioship i have watched on tv and she is begging for it,she is a lost cause.

i related to her and now i say if i ever turn into that pls shoot me and take me out of my misery.there is no character development she is worse that season 1.instead of lmaking her a heroine that was moving forward at last gg writers you made her a nobody who needs professional treatment.she will never feel real hapiness and we all know how relatioships like chair end.they will be divorsed in the future if she is lucky but she won't be able to take back the lost timebor she will stay forever trapped in that sick relationship while chuck will screw every girl that can walk and only trully care about his name and if they have children they will more problematic than their parents!!

ps.thanku for telling people that manhattan is a society rotten to its core and that this people only care about money, drugs and sex.family, friendships, moral means nothing!!evil always takes down good!!!!good work!!!!!!

  • You say I always bet against you but this time I'm all in <3 xx

the perfect depiction of chuck and blair relationship!! check it out!!

  • I beg for the writers to end this correctly. They have to end up together. Yesterday I watched every CB scene since season 1 and there's so much more than sex (as Dair fans often say). I mean, they shared too much. They deserve to be together after all thy've been through. Season 5 was a disaster until episode 22, Blair just wasn't Blair. She was so weak, and Dan... well, I liked him in season 1, maybe in season 2, after that I didn't care about him, now I just want to punch him. He's not the jealous sexy kind of guy, that's Chuck. Dan should still be the sweet guy that was a nobody and was in love with SVW.

Chuck is definitely the best character, with the best story (involving Blair or not). Except for a few episodes in the beginning of season 4, whith Eva, he was allways the same bad boy we all love. He was almost always true to himself, and Blair was always his most beloved treasure. He can't be happy without her, he had tried.

The mos important... feature that Blair and Chuck both have is their devotion for each other. Everytime they are going through a rough time, they turn to each other, becouse they are deeply in love. And that's why this is the mos succesful couple of the show, it's the only one that never died and that's always there.

I'm sorry, I'm just so mad and I have no one to talk about GG.

I'm praying for the writers to be FAIR.

    • enough with the abusive relationships!!!!

if u think the relationship cb had as perfect i worry!!!!

he was terrible to her the most times,he made her cry,the bad times were way more than the good, she practicaly begged him for some attention, for god's shake he sold her to him uncle for a hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is not a relatioship that should be promoted at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

imagine a friend of your being treated like this...would u say to her to stay in that relationship that makes her unhappy????this not real love but an unhealthy obsession!!!!!!!!!!

    • I'm the CB fan responding. (@lumadiedo)

Have you ever been in love? Love, at least for me, is not flawless. It's consuming and it produces not only pretty things, like kisses and flowers, but the most horrible things in the world. Chuck and Blair are not abusive. They are just love in its complete expression.

For example, when Chuck "sold" her (what I think is pretty unreal), he didn't force her. She chose to be the worst of herself, because the love that she felt for Chuck was more powerfull that any self respect.

I believe CB are a huge metaphor of love itself. With the brighter and the most horrible things of it, the things that a real life couple wouldn't even dare to say out loud, 'cause it might hurt their partner.

I guess it depends on you definition of love, but I don't conceive love without that kind of dark passion.

An abusive relationship is one where he or she imposes something, anything, on the other. Here, with CB, they always did what they felt was the best for the other, regardless what the other may had wanted. Now that kind of sacrifice, that kind of selfless extreme passionate scary and overwhelming surrender to the power of another person is what love is to me. Love is being naked and vulnerable, because someone else has complete power over you, and you don't matter anymore.

So I understand if you don't agree with me, 'cause it depends on your concept of love.

  • CHUCK AND BLAIR = KING AND QUEEN

    DAN = PAWN

  • CHUCK AND BLAIR ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dan and blair will have had there 15 mins and chair will be back for good :D dair lasted what 5 episodes? chair lasted 5 seasons...

  • Don't worry Chair fans it seems that in next episode's promo Dan and Serena have sex sooo that means Blair will be Chuck.Whole season was a waste of time and they will make Dan bad guy and Chuck good guy sooo its over.GG writers really wasted my time as a Dair fan.Too bad my favorite characters lost themselves in this season even Nate did :(

  • From Spain but, Althorught Dair fans don't want to accept it CHAIR is powerful it makes you feel love and feeling. Writers didn't realize how much they hert the show making dair because of Serena's thing, but I hope they can fix it for the end of the season :)

    CHAIR ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS

  • Chair will be endgame, don't try to deny it.....…

    • hm we will see but i don't believe it.i like chuck but not with blair,he didn't treat her well but dan has been amazingly good to her.i believe chuck will focus at his family now that bart is alive and i want him to have a relationship with his mother i believe this will make him happy!!!!

  • Serena will have two love interests by the end of the season one will be the cobra star ship guy and the other we know? Hmm considering Nate is moving in with Lola and chuck is her brother I'm guessing dan is the only possible one!

    • dan is serena's brother as much as chuck is.

    • yet shes never slept with chuck.. and actually serena and chuck are adopted siblings while dan and serena are step siblings. Not the same one is legally the other is only through marraige.

    • ya and the fact that they are half siblings didnt stop Serena from dating Dan like 3 times after that and then in Season Five she tells him that she still loves him.

    • yes but he doen't love her.as for chuck they haven't slept together but i remember when he tried to rape her in season 1.

  • As josh Safran said before Blair and chuck are the king of Queen of the upper east side and everyone expect serena is a pawn. The show revolves around there relationship so they will most definiatly be endgame...

  • "a highly placed show insider tells us fans should take the event ed an Leighton attended on 27of April the grand opening of Harry winstons new store in shanghai as a major gossip girl finale clue" -e news! Come on guys thy obviously get back together why would they bring the Harry winston ring back just so chuck Could get rid of it again? Comebe logical

    • lol i think that ring will be destroyed for good this time.i think chuck will be ready to move on now!!!!

    • he was ready to move on when he left it at harry winstons.... its back for a reason

    • right why can he just make a desicion and stick to it????

his father is right he is so imature!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we should be together no we don't stay with louis and then from the start...so boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree with the comments about Dan and Blair. Although I admit I watched GG sporadically from seasons 1 through 3, I haven't missed a single episode since season 4 and that's mainly because of Dan's selfless love for Blair. Enough with the Chuck drama already. What they have isn't love. It's an unhealthy, abusive, and selfish obsession. Blair finally realized that there is somebody out there who loves her for who she is, somebody who values her not just as a woman but as a person. I hope the writers pursue this more instead of circling back to the immaturity and selfishness of this so called Chair relationship.

  • Ugh pls this is a show that everyone slept with each other and it was matter of time that Dan and Blair would habben too.But of all reasons I like Dair most among all couples in GG.I guess thats because my favorite characters are Dan and Blair lol even though they weren't together still were very funny in all episodes.Blair's being the evil and Dan being the Brooklyn Benedict Arnold loool so I would like to think Dair as an endgame still if won't they still be the best characters in the GG even they won't be together :)

  • look at blairs page on relation ships for dan it says boyfriend just that on chuck it says ex boyfriend and possibly in love with. does that say that on dan no so CHAIR FOREVER

  • chuck caused the dowry problem, tried to keep blair married because he didn't want dair to happen so he prefered blair to stay trapped at her marriage,he fucked dan's book editor,he sent the photo of dan and blair to gossip girl and he didn't feel remorse about anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can keep going for ever....

dan truly loves blair and he has proven himself a lot of times!!!he even tried to bring chair together because he thought that was what blair wanted at the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!he is the best boyfriend ever the kind that wouldn't sell blair as an object of his collection for no hotel or anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chuck and Blair.. The perfect pair!

  • CHair will be together again just look at the title of the last episode "return of the ring" that means the Harry winston engagement ring will most likely make a comeback!!!

    • yes i remember it right after he fucked jenny and she was still at the bedroom when blair was also there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg that pure love of chuck!!!!!!!!!!!!! blair start running to save yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • that is the one he had after fucking jenny???? so romantic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • stfu chuck and blair are meant for each other. they but like the same things like scheming and in 5x22 she said she needed to find the old blair and that is scheming and dan hates scheming and plus her scheming buddy is chuck. plus if you didnt know when someone says i love you to b she runs back to chuck

    • you are out of it!!!!!!!!!!! all that u did is replace the word scheming.and u are right it is the only thing they ever had in common and that's why their relationship was so bad and painful

  • Let's look at all the good things chuck did for Blair.. - Get her into COLUMBIA the only thing she Acctually cared about - Help her in season 2 when she went off the rails after being rejected by Yale - pay the million dollar dowry do she could be free and he didn't want her to know about it - Promise to raise her baby like it was his own - get shot holding on to her engagement ring -letting her to be with Louis as he thought that's what it would take for her to be truly happy - Not ruining her wedding as it was suppose to be the happiest day of her life..

    • sold her to his uncle, cause the dowry to happen, slept with jenny.tried to stop the wedding from the beginning, punched glass above blair's head and injured her, tried to ruin her career attempts at many occasions, fell in love with eva and raina at that time blair was not issue for him and he was allowed to be with others but blair didn't beause he is chuck bass and he can do anything no matters who he hurts in the process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i thing even the hotel thing alone surpass any good stuff (that little anyway)

    • do u wanna a list of all the bad?????i will take days!!!

the hotel thing alone is enough to make all the little good stuf he has done go to hell

      and that's a fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he has caused her so much pain :(

  • Chuck should leave Blair FOREVER and let her be HAPPY WITH DAN

  • chair rest in peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!chuck focus on your family and maybe one day u will be able to have a nonabusive relationship!!!!

  • CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER CHAIR FOREVER

  • chuck and blair have history

    DAN AND BLAIR HAVE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
