Since the series beginnings many have speculated about the true identity of the the shows title character Gossip Girl, here are some possible Gossip Girls.

Eric van der WoodsenEdit

He is the brother of the series It Girl and he is part of the same circle of people that Gossip Girl reports and concentrates on. He is in the mix with a lot of the main characters and would know a lot from his sister as they seem close and would tell each other a lot. It is unlikely it is Eric because he is very loyal to his sister and wouldn't post destructive blasts about her.

JonathonEdit

Eric's boyfriend was suspected of being Gossip Girl in 'The Goodbye Gossip Girl' due to being able to break into Gossip Girl's emails quickly and seemingly easily. He was around a lot of the time throughout the Second and Third Series but it is unlikely Gossip Girl is Jonathon due to the fact that he isn't a major character in the series and is rarely in the mix of the scandals and fights.

Jenny HumphreyEdit

Jenny is a possible candidate to be Gossip Girl. She is seen in the first couple of episodes knowing who everyone is and when Serena introduced herself to Jenny in the Pilot, Jenny responds 'I know.' This could be just because she regularly reads Gossip Girl but it is possible that it was she that runs the site. Jenny was trying to be in the exclusive inner world of the Upper East Siders long after Gossip Girl started, so that is a reason she may not be Gossip Girl.

Georgina SparksEdit

Georgina was revealed in G.G. to be on the Gossip Girl blog, signing off as Gossip Girl, thus revealing that she is in fact Gossip Girl. However, it could be that she had hacked onto the Gossip Girl blog as it would not be put past Georgina to do something like that. However, it is also possible that Georgina is just one of the many 'Gossip Girl's' and she works with a few to run the site. Georgina has a lot of time on her hands and is always looking for a scandal or is involved with it thus making her the suitable candidate for Gossip Girl.

Melanie91Edit

The girl who took that legendary first photograph of returned it girl Serena van der Woodsen at Grand Central Station in the series Pilot, though GG does say that Melanie91 is one of her many sources.

Charlotte "Charlie" RhodesEdit

The daughter of Carol Rhodes, and the cousin of Serena van der Woodsen. In the series, Charlie is yet to be seen and Ivy Dickens has taken her place. Though it isn't one that is overly mentioned, it is a reasionable posibility seeing as Gossip Girl appears to have it in for 'Charlie', and furthermore the real Charlotte could be jealous that she never got the chance live the Upper East Side's elite lifestyle, and takes it out on those who do.
