Blair and Nate are grow closer together as they spend more time with each other. Although Nate and Vanessa are still together, the two sneak around to meet "just as friends." Nate also plans to break up with Vanessa to be with Blair. However, Chuck quickly finds out about the two and enlists Vanessa to make the other couple jealous.
Little J is about to turn 16, and Lily and Serena plan a blowout bash for her big day. But the former Queen B wannabe turns down their offer and instead wants a quiet family night. Serena, feeling a bit deflated gets help from her socialite friend Poppy Lifton to make the party a big success.
Jenny is angry that Serena disobeyed her wishes and turns the party into a rager; Vanessa and Chuck come together as a couple and shocks Blair and Nate, later sleeping together secretly; Serena realizes that she's tired of her role as the "good girl" and takes off with Poppy to Spain.
